Richard “Brett” Fuller is an Avid Baseball Fan. Baseball has been his lifelong passion. So much so, that in June of 2012, He along with his Father Don, aquired rights to the Luray Wranglers in the Valley Baseball League. In September of 2012, The Wranglers moved to Charles Town (WV) and became the Cannons before moving to Purcellville. Fuller is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors and President of the Purcellville Cannons. Fuller graduated from West Virginia University in May 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education majoring in Sports Management. Fuller holds 14 Coaching Certificates from WVU and has been a High School Baseball Coach for the past 12 years. Fuller was the Head Coach at Clarke County High School from 2006 -2007, he then joined Notre Dame Academy as an Assistant Coach until becoming the Head Coach in 2010. In 2011, Notre Dame Academy became Middleburg Academy. As a Business Professional, Fuller is the Owner of “Big Daddy Automotive” in Berryville, VA. Fuller founded the car business in February of 1998. Prior to his work in the automotive Industry, Fuller owned and operated Ultimate Sound, a mobile Disc Jockey service in Winchester, VA., from 1987 – 2004. Fuller was the recipient of the 2014 Maynard “Mo” Weber Manager of the Year award.
At the helm of the 2016 Purcellville Cannons, Fuller led the team to a playoff birth where the Cannons were eventually defeated by the eventual Champions Strasburg Express. The playoff birth marked the second time in league history that a team was able to make the playoffs in their first year as a new franchise. The 2013 Charles Town Cannons were the only other team to make the playoffs during the first year—The 2013 Cannons were owned and operated by Brett Fuller as well.
